I know that some might moan at another well known (in the music world) person getting to fly a Spitfire, but Alex James is a pilot and a very pleasant chap and it’s a nice personal view of his experience when he came to Boultbee Flight Academy.

Of course, I loved every minute of it and just think if I was 30 years younger, a successful musician, a successful fromagier and an aviator and wealthy…it could have been me!!;):D

Great video – jammy maybe but at least he is an aviator! And you certainly can’t doubt the effect the experience had on him!

A man in genuine awe of what he had just experienced! a deserving man of the flight I would say. I felt the same way after my 1st flight in a P51, speechless and full of words at the same time!!

Only five?

When he wasn’t flying or briefing, he was curled up on the floor, sleeping. I asked him whether this ability to crash out was something he learned as a rock star on tour…no says he, it comes from having 5 (count ’em) kids…

Very nice, Dunbar!
