Algeria first acquired 10 Su-24’s back in the early 90’s. They were latter followed by 3 bought new from Ukraine in a package that included 12 MiG-25s also. Afterwards a further 22 ex-Russian AF examples were delivered and aparently they are negotiating for 30 extras (ex-VVS)to replace its MiG-23 fleet.
This means that Algeria will have recived 65 examples, the largest export customer of the type.
Does anyone have any info confirming these reports? Also, I would apreciate a picture of either Su-24s or MiG-29s in Algerian colours. are there any?
