Pity about the dull conditions.

Air Wales appear again at LPL with their CWL-LPL-ABZ service at LPL, as well as the previously mentioned Air Fungus service – a little more colour than usual!

Seeing that EMB170 EI-DFJ operated the 1st AZ service to BHX on Sunday…..one wonders who to believe: the eyewitnesses of that aircraft or BHX/AZ themselves!

We had Aer Lingus start Budapest,Lanzarote,Las Palmas and daily flight to Liverpool. As well as Estonian Airlines to Tallinn but Im not sure of the sart day for that.
Also the days of Continental 757s in Dublin are over they will now operate their Irish winter flights with 767-200.Summer flight direct to Dublin with 767-400 and Shannon direct with 757.And from thme to time this summer CO had such good loads they put on the 777 just like Delta so maybe in a year or two we could be seeing 777s daily during the summer.

Great for BHX ๐Ÿ™‚

Sorry to use this thread but I thought there wasnt much point starting a thread about it – Off the LBA website about the new LBA-LCY service.

New London City Service Takes Off In Style
1 November 2004

Passengers flying on the inaugural flight from Leeds Bradford International Airport to London City on the 1st November were treated to a welcome fit for a Queen as they were greeted by a couple of Londonโ€™s very own Beefeater guards.

The red carpet was awaiting passengers at check in followed by a VIP breakfast in the departure lounge, which offered complimentary pastries, tea and coffee and fruit juice.

bmi regional, who are operating the service also issued passengers with a goodie bag and a certificate to confirm that they were on this landmark first flight to London City from Leeds Bradford.

Leeds Bradford International Airport’s Marketing and Business Development Manager, Sally Ramsey enthused,

‘This new service is going to be popular with both business and leisure passengers as connections are improved between Yorkshire and the heart of the UKโ€™s capital.โ€

The flights are four times daily Monday – Friday along with one flight on a Sunday. The aircraft used is a 45 seater Air Atlantique ATR42.
