All Cats ar grey in the dark…

Someone (OK, it was MikeJ) made a rude remark about white Catalinas on an earlier thread.

Here’s a selection of non-Ford colours, and one in Ford black…

Cheers!

1) White (to keep Mike happy) with a rainbow Ahh…

PBY/Canso

Here are a few shots from my collection of PBY/Cansos Taken in their natural setting ! The picture date back to 1984 and the anniversary crossing of the Atlantic by the PBy and the Canso. The Canso ultimately crashed on its arrival in the UK.
I think both aircraft are still owned by W(Connie) Edwards in Texas.

Thanks for the contributions chaps.

Anyone game to guess the Cats I’ve posted? Or shall I just number them off? Feel free to ‘vote’!

Any more? Can we get a good sample of the World’s Catalinas?

Cheers

Hi Arthur,
A clue – the pic is taken in australia, and the a/c type in question is better known without a pilot…

If you haven’t got it by tomorrow pm, (UK time) I’ll tell ya!

Cheers

James (or anyone else),

On pic 9 (with the green Cat) there is a dodgy little jet-like thingie in the upper right corner, behind the Harvard’s wing. Any clues as to what that is?

TIA.

Damn right James – and we must remember that the sole surviving Supermarine Southampton is here today because someone bought it and did a very similar thing to it!
