I have been tormented by the prospect that a store in NZ called “The Warehouse” has cheap sets of the previous 3 Wanaka airshows going cheap – I will pay a bounty to the first one of you who can find me said “cheap” sets in either DVD or VHS – I have had no luck on two trips there but everyone tells me it can be done.
Help!!!!!

For those not familiar with what we are talking about, it is the 1998, 2000 and 2002 videos of Warbirds over Wanaka. about 1hr 20mins, 1hr 50mins and 1hr 30mins of airshow action with lots of P-40s, Mustangs, Spitfires, Hurricanes, as well as Polikarpovs and many other more exotic aircraft like Bleroits (spelling) from 1910, Mig-15s, a brief appearance by a Hunter, Catalinas, Hercs, and skyhawks. Etc etc.
All this action for $29.99 NZ. ( $1 NZ is about .70c US and about 30-40p UK).

Just to let everyone know, I found a copy of the DVD set for John. So no need to look further now (for him anyway!)

I have the DVD set and it is very very good. Especially at the price of only $29.95 for all three. They are all very professionally done. I am sorry but I haven’t seen them since but I will keep my eyes out for you.

I’ll try to get it next time I’m in town then. If I see the DVD before, I’ll get it instead.

Hi Dave
I love you – VHS is fine – I can convert them if need be – I can send cash or a cheque – If anybody finds the DVDs so much the better but the VHS will do for now.

John, I have been looking for that set for you since your visit. Yesterday I saw it in Whitcoulls but only on Video ($29.95). They didn’t have the DVD. The 2004 DVD is everywhere though. I’m pee-ohed that I can’;t find it for you on DVD.
