Of course they are operating. 7 Army UH-1Hs, 2 National Service UH-1Hs, 2 Dolphin 2s, and 1 S-70C, commenced 130+ flights within one day… 🙂
Or I shlould say, within the whole morning. ‘Cause in the afternoon thundershower came, VFR flights salvation helis alll suspended.
130+ flights… 😮

Moggy.
The German’s also still use the UH-1… Regularly get one at Helidays. Along with the newer version, the AB.212, as used by the Italians and the most recent incarnation the AB.412 as used by the Dutch and DFTS.

I’ll help you Moggy:
The first ones (olive drab + red / yellow things) are definitely Hueys
The Red & white, striped ones are Sud Aviation / Aerospatiale / Eurocopter (you decide 😉 ) Dauphin 2s
And the Blue ones are Blackhawks, as far as I know a version developped for SAR, with long range fuel tanks on external pylons.

Are they really still operating Hueys?
My eggbeater recognition is a bit shaky.

The SAR Blackhawks have a great scheme too… For once, they aren’t painted in an olive drab variation..

Lovely shots. Like the yellow and red scheme – very different.
As Prince Charles said over our Boscastle incident “Thank God for the helicopters” – an applicable statement for whatever God you praise.
Nice to see helicopters getting some forum time…
