I was very lucky to catch the first A319 for Allegiant Airlines departing from Southend on a test flight in the freezing cold yesterday morning. The cloud was being slightly annoying (as always), but I hope these are of interest. The aircraft is still registered HB-JZK from when it was with easyJet Switzerland, and should eventually be re-registered N301NV.

A rather smart scheme – Jet2 Holidays???

It seems like that after Jet2 ‘copied Allegiant’ with their Jet2 Holidays scheme. Allegiant has copied Jet2 by having a yellow ‘sunburst’ with orange streaks, rather than an orange one with yellow streaks before!
Also going on a test flight yesterday morning was P4-SAS, a now rather plain A320 of Air Astana, just before it is returned to the lessor.

And also the new OLT Dresden service (running rather late again).

Once again, I hope these are of interest….

Thanks Culpano, it was well worth standing in the freezing cold wind for a couple of hours for!

Lovely shots. That Allegiant is very smart indeed.
