Allied forces in the Vietnam War

Hi, does anyone have information on the operations with Bell UH-1 helicopters during the Vietnam war by the Korean Army, Australian Air Force and Navy, Camboya and other non US or South Vietnamese participants?

Thanks
Santiago

Sorry, I mean South Korean in Vietnam, but also the operation of the Cambodian UH-1, as the US give them some of them.

Does anyone have any image of Cambodian UH-1 or Korean UH-1H when they were deployed in Vietnam?

I don’t think Cambodia deployed troops or helicopters to South Vietnam…they were too busy in their own country.

Hi, thanks a lot for your help. The Australian information on the UH-1 is excellent. Does anyone have any image of Cambodian UH-1 or Korean UH-1H when they were deployed in Vietnam? I saw that Korea send some of their own Hueys to the war, but I have almost no information about this.

Highest ranked delivery pilot I’ve heard of.

Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston, Chief of the Defence Forces (Australia) delivering ‘his’ Iroquois A2-377 to the RAAF Museum from Army hands into retirement. This is the helicopter that Angus won his AFC undertaking a ASR rescue in foul weather in 1979.

Also, IIRC Austrailia had a base in Thailand operating CAC Sabre’s.

Also, IIRC Austrailia had a base in Thailand operating CAC Sabre’s. ROK had units on the ground Tiger ROK, and ROK Marines, they more than likely used U.S. Hueys to infiltrate and Evacuate.

Go to ‘Series 3’, ‘A-2’ for the RAAF Iroquois.
