Has anyone flown above say 39,999?

and

has anyone experienced the view of the earth curving at night from a plane, dont know what altitude and no not concorde.

yeah done FL410 in a 762 of BY 3 weeks ago!! – last june we were delayed for 7 hours going to crete and we flew at FL390 taking off at midnight, – 4 hour flight and 2 hours diferance = a 6am landing – beautiful!!!

Concorde can actually go to about 65,000 ft I think.

I had one of those pleasure flights a few years ago on it (MAN-MAN) and we were at about 55,000 ft then.

You do start to see the curvature of the earth and the sky above is very dark!

Yep…now thats where you see the curve of the earth!

I’ve only reached FL390….nearly there.

I done 37,000ft at tops on a 767. Concorde can cruise at a maximum altitude of 52,000ft… that must be amazing!

Yes, but only on 747’s flying over high ground in my case. Absolutely stunning at dawn.
