Alvis Leonides Engine

Hi all

My Air Cadet squadron has an Alvis Leonides engine believed to be from a Piston Provost or SAL Pioneer that is in need of some TLC. Therefore it has been decided to restore it as a cadet project but we are in need of some information. Primarily we would like to know in what colours it was painted when it left the factory and would anyone be able to assist in finding a manual for said engine.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

Try Percival Pembroke WV740 on FB, a closed group but they do operate a flyer and I’m sure they’ll help.

The Hooton Park-based TAC group are in the final stages of restoring theirs. They may be able to help.

Factory colour was all-over black.
