For the sake of completeness, there’s another organization offering sub-scare Spitfires…the 90% a.c. is particularly nice.

The type seems to be popular in the U.S., you’d expect UK firms would be more active.
Last time I posted it, the thread was banished to the General Aviation forum because it wasn’t “pure” (or I suspect English enough) for the moderator. 🙂

The Spitfire Aircraft Co replica isn’t based on the Jurca plans. If I remember rightly, its DNA has something to do with the DuCros K5054 replica from the 1990s (but I could be wrong).
There are a couple of SAC aircraft on the go at the moment (and a few more Jurca aircraft).

I like the bit about the rear view mirror being constructed out of a $10 food ladle.

I want to see an air to air with this and Ericksons 109!
That’ll be so cool!

Ah War History Online, years late as always.
Classic Wings had a great article on Bob and his MJ-100 in 2004. Well worth tracking down if you’re interested in the type. That EAA video is a good watch. From memory it has King Air wheels and brakes.

It is gorgeous, though.

Yes it is lovely, been around a while now though, there was an article in Sport Aviation and Warbirds Digest a few years back.
