America Last Year

Apologies for bringing up this subject if anyone finds it too sensitive.

Can anyone tell me the exact airlines/aircraft types that were involved in the four crashes last September. I know there were a mix of UA/AA aircraft, and, I think, a mix of 757/767.

But what variants were there, and which aircraft ended up where?

Also as an aside, has there been any official news ont he cause of the AA A300 crash in NY last November?

RE: America Last Year

The first to crash into a tower was an American Airlines 767-223ER {N334AA} —- had 92 people on board.

The second to crash into the tower was a United Airlines 767-222 {N612UA} — had 65 people on board.

The aircraft that crashed into the pentagon was an American Airlines 757-222 {N644AA} — had 64 people aboard.

The aircraft that crashed in Pittsburg was a United Airlines 757-222 {N591UA} — had 45 people aboard.

The other American Airlines crash that happened in New York was an Airbus A300B4-605R {N14053} — had 260 aboard. The reason for this crash was that a small fire stated in the no.1 engine, which eventually got out of control causing the no.1 to break away from the aircraft, sending it into a nose dive.

All of this informaton is from http://www.airdisaster.com

Again like Pembo said, I hope I haven’t offended anyone 🙂
