American Aircraft Crash site Photo Record

A very good web site showing what remains at many civil and military crash sites in the US that are often only accessible after a good long hike. http://joeidoni.smugmug.com/Aircraft-Crash-Sites

Two excellent websites.
Very absorbing viewing – I spent the best part of four hours viewing them (and I’m barely halfway through Joe Idoni’s pages!).
Thank you both for posting the links. 😀

Nice!

Thanks, DaveF68, that’s a great site as well.

It’s very well designed and annotated, a credit to the authors – and really interesting too.

Joe Idoni’s site

Yes, it is a nice site.

I’ve been watching this one for a couple of years and there are some amazing finds to be had in the US, especially amongst the jet crashes and to a lesser degree the less accessible piston types.

Also, his photos of the hikes and places he has been make a good contrast to his wreckology trips. He has a good eye for a photo-shot.
