Hey guys, help me out. Im taking a trip to America soon, I’ve never done a trans-atlantic and i’ve never flown on a US airline. Which do you think I should experience first? AA, CO or United? Im looking for a truly American experience! Or should i stick to British!!!
Whats best and worst about each? Give me your views on them and going trans-atlantic!!!!!

RE: American, Continental or United?
DAMN right Keltic, rude behavior is very common on American airlines. I would prefer Virgin, SAS and all for this route.

RE: American, Continental or United?
Well I wouldn´t fly on an American airline again, because my experiences were quite frustrating: rude behaviour, bad service, old planes sometimes…..But if you want to, I would recommend American.

RE: American, Continental or United?
Well i have been searching around on the web for these three airlines, and out of the three continental seems to be the best.It was voted the best airline of 1996.Worst seems to be united, there attitude to there customers is ‘we don’t care’As for aa they are not recommed by many people.Your best bet is to look around on the internet and see what other people think of them,i went to a website called opinions.com.

RE: American, Continental or United?
Well, out of the US airlines I would go for Continental. I was quite impressed when I flew with them a while ago. American and United aren’t bad airlines, you’ll find very mixed views about most of the major US carriers depending on who you speak to.
Next time I fly to the US, I’ll be flying with Virgin though. They are excellent.
It also depends on which airport you will be flying to. If you fly to Newark, expect a Continental flight to be offered. Likewise with American and their Chicago hub.
Anyway, whatever airline you choose, have a good flight.

V1
P.S.- Did you know that 75% of all transatlantic flights are operated by the Boeing 767? Give me a 747 anyday!

RE: American, Continental or United?
It realy does depend where you arwe going doesn’t it. For example if you are going to New York, you don’t want to go via Chicago with American do you.
Generally though I would want to fly United Airlines, then American and then reluctantly Continental

RE: American, Continental or United?
Well i have never been on an american airline before,i always like to stick to british airlines such as virgin or ba.I don’t like travelling ba as i find it to cramped.Flying virgin is excellent, nice food, televisions in front of you and the staff are friendly.I don’t know much about the american airlines but i have heard continentil is all right.Hoping to travel us airways next year to cleveland. To get through a long haul flight.1.take a good book 2.ask to go see the coppit 3.and try and to sleep.
