American Red Eagle squadron, any info on it?

has anyone got any information on the history of the American Red Eagle squadron from the cold war days which used Soviet airplanes like the Flogger, Fishbed and Fitter? what happened to the planes? i saw a photo of a Mig 23 in a plane magazine a few years ago and it showed the Mig 23 in desert colours with a red engine exhaust cover, it was parked near to a carpark where plane spotter snapped a photo. also what happened to the 20+ Mig 29 that the USA got in the late 90s, my mate reckons that theyre in use at Nellis. any info would be interesting…
