A few weeks ago I got offered a contract. The job agency can not transfer my free days to my “new” emplyer, so I had to cash in my free days. There has never been a better excuse, or financial situation :D, to celebrate that with a new camera! I am now officially a member of the DSLR squad at AMS with a nice 2nd hand Canon 10D. First attempt at shooting can be found below!
1) Early morning at AMS with a nice sunset. Shot from the spot alongside the Polderbaan using the full 300mm of my lens.
2) KLM B737-406 PH-BDR now features the new livery with the Skyteam logo…
3) …same for MD-11 PH-KCI.
4) PH-BDS does have the Skyteam logo, but for now lacks the new livery…
5) …same for PH-BTA…
6) …and Cithopper PH-OFK…
7) …continental has also introduced Skyteam logos. (last of the Skyteams, I promiss!)
8) New livery for Air Baltic. That green colour was probably bought 2nd hand from the leftovers of Duo.
9) A new airline for AMS. Probably well familiar for most of you.
10) A delivery flight of this cargo plane. Going to South America (Peru or Ecuador I believe)

An excellent group of shots, especially that last one of the 747 behind the trees, Tampa Cargo and HollandExel are both nice looking liveries we don’t often see

DSLR, a digital camera from which the lenses can be changed. Has a little mirror in it that pops open to expose the sensor. Regrettably I do not work at Schiphol but in Veghel which is about an hour and a half drive away headed southeast. Near Eindhoven/EIN.

Great photos Peter. So are you working at Schiphol full-time now? By the way, what is DSLR?

They already have 2 and in december and late january/early february they will get 2 more. Total fleet will be 4.
In this article it says that Tampa is big in refrigurated freight, in particular flowers. If they want to start intercontinental flights than their most likely destination is therefore Amsterdam. Add in the rumoured link with MP and a nice pattern is shown. Personally I would not be surprised to see them in the summer schedule next year.

Tampa
B767-241 (ER)
23803/161
ex N60668 delivery registration
ex PP-VNN Varig
ex N803HE unknown, temporary registration for leasing company???
They even have the construction number on the registration number! More airlines should do that, would make live more easy for spotters.

I have only ever used the terrace as they have never used the runway by McDonals when I have been there 😡 .
Have answered my own question the Tampa is ex Varig, they are getting 2.

The charge is indeed 1 euro but I believe that is for the whole day on and of the terrace. Not sure though as I never go there. There are far better places around the airport. All of the photos above, with the exception of the sunset shot, are accesible by public transport as ong as you don’t mind to walk the last 15 minutes.
The Tampa’s are not regular at all. From what I know these are just delviery flights. The planes where converted somewhere in Europe (IAI Israel?). This may change though as I heard a rumour that Tampa is going to be partly owned by Martinair.

Great photos, will have to start planning my annual trip next summer.
Although I hear there is now a charge for the deck. Only 1 euro but gets expensive if you have a weak bladder and get hungry a lot!
Who was the Tampa 767F with previously? About time they replaced their DC8’s.
