I went to AMS last saturday the 10th,the weather was great sunshine nearly all day,a bonus from the day before was that my new D80 arrived from hong kong,so it was straight out of the box and into my bag,the down side of that is that i had no time to read up on settings and such so some of the shots didn’t come out so good, here’s the first few off the D80,it’s arguable that the better shots came out of my D50,which i put the 18-55 on,the D80 had a sigma 70-300 APO on..so anyway here’s just the first few i’ve got round to from the D80:

Something i didn’t notice was that there was a good beat of heat haze around even though it’s only around 10 degress C. out,and a few APU exhausts ruined a few photos too:cool: ,but all in all a very good day:)

I did indeed see it,although i was on the wrong section of the viewing deck to get the best angle for the sun:rolleyes:
That’s nothing to be ashamed of. Seen the Hibiscus now 10 or so times at AMS and always in crap light. 😀

Nice shots, you also saw the Hibiscus that I believe was in that day?

No just the viewing deck, from the deck it’s more possible to see all the movements,so that was a reason for staying on the deck, plus you can never be sure of the weather, but hopefully in the future i can get round to some of the other spots at AMS;)

They were taken from the massive viewing deck that AMS has,and i must say i’ve never seen anything like it,it takes about 10 minutes to walk from one end to the other!,i’m spending all my free time at the moment editing my photos, but with college and my part time job,i’ve very little time to sit down and go through them, but i will post the good one…eventually;)
appart from there did you go anywhere else for fotos gary like the polarbann

I hope to see some good things out of it myself:D ,i thought the KLM A330’s look very good indeed,i’m jealous that they use them to LHR on such a short flight and there was me flying back to DUB on a half full Aer lingus A321,i must book a flight for the laugh through LHR to AMS just to fly on a heavy!
