Interesting development on the AN-12. The IVW (Inspectie Verkeer & Waterstaat, the Dutch aviation autorities) have grounded the antonov. The reasons provided by the IVW include:

Fuel leakage;
Fire extinghuishers had not been inspected for too long a time;
Navigation maps where out of date;
Freight consisted of hazardous materials for which no permit had been granted (car batteries).

Very nice! You where very lucky with the Antonov and the Blue1. Whenever I go to AMS Blue1 use the Avro which look very dull compared to their very smart 717s.

I was at AMS last sunday, will post some photos sometime this week.
