Amsterdam Schiphol 15 Feb 2014

I decided to brave the stormwinds and clear my head at Schiphol

The sparse highlights today managed to arrive during overcast moments so I have only these images to share with you.

Then a band of dark clouds moved in, landings on 22 started and I decided to go home to warm up again.

Nice set there… i was at AMS on saturday also, shot the same stuff as you from the Polderbaan, got some great crosswind shots, the Surinam A340 and the Emirates A380 getting bossed by the wind was some sight. think i am a jinx as 2 hours after arriving i think one too many go arounds closed the runway switching to rw22, then on sunday at LHR i was only there 10 mins when 27R got closed after a Delta 767 had smoke from undercarriage with everything then using 27L

Flybe are or rather have withdrawn a few Dash Eights recently

G-JEDT was withdrawn on 3rd February at Birmingham and flown to Norwich the following day for preparation and return to the leasing company.

It appears to have been at least sanitised but recent lists show it as active with BEE.

So either doing a back up flight for BEE or someone else, or being returned and stopping at AMS for some reason.

Whatever, it’s days with BEE are numbered if not over.

Thanks for the replies guys,

The FlyBE was painted white in NWI last week, returning to service Feb 12th so I assume she will be leaving the FlyBE fleet.
Sofar I have only seen pictures of HB-IZP in Etihad colors.

A lovely set of photos there civilspotter, thanks for sharing.

The UA 767-300 one is my favourite; I still think that old s-UA livery looks great and it’s a shame it wont be around for much longer as they’re all gradually being painted in the former CO livery!

Couple of questions though, not sure if you (or anyone else!) can answer them:

1. G-JEDT is a Flybe Dash8 Q400…any ideas as to why it’s flying in an all white livery, I’m assuming BE are in the process of leasing it to another operator (if so, who is/will it be?) or is it being returned to BE and just awaiting to be re-painted back into their livery?

2. How many of Darwin’s Saab 2000’s are painted in the new Etihad Regional livery?
