An-72/74 Coaler

This aircraft has recently gotten my attention as I was reading the new issue of Combat Aircraft. In that issue is the second part to Russian Aviation. The second part covers trainers, bombers, maritime patrol aircraft, transports, and helicopters. Anyway, I think the Coaler is a very interesting aircraft. It seems to have a lot of potential. The An-72P version is the one that really interests me. I do realize there is an ongoing discussion about the An-72P and the CN.235 MPA, but I wanted to start a thread that is just about the An-72/74 series as a whole. I am looking for one key piece of info as well. I am wondering what maximum rate of climb for this aircraft could be. It is STOL capable so I would guess it would be pretty good. I would also like to discuss weapon, cargo, and sensor options for the An-72P. Thanks guys.
