A330-301 VH-QPA Kununurra was delivered to Qantas in Melbourne on November 29 after it ferried in from Toulouse and Singapore. From Toulouse to Singapore VH‑QPA operated as flight QF6008, while from Singapore to Melbourne the flight number was QF7628. The A330 made its first flight from Toulouse on November 5 using the French test registration F-WWKS.

A330-301 VH-QPB Freycinet Peninsula was planned for delivery to Qantas in Melbourne on December 13.

A330-301 VH-QPC Broken Hill was planned for delivery to Qantas in Melbourne in late December.

VH-QPA, VH-QPB and VH-QPC were being delivered in a domestic configuration of 38 business and 305 economy class seats and will be operated on routes from Sydney to Brisbane, Cairns and Perth and from Melbourne to Perth for the next six months. They are then due to transfer to the international fleet and have their interiors refitted.
