This is from The Flight of December 1929 the year of the ‘Great Financial Crash’. This idea was pushed at the wrong time! Mr Christmas was no Santa and one of his previous designs had killed its pilot! So look at this one and imagine it flying for Imperial Airways or maybe not:eek

Weight tare 90,000 lbs, fuel & oil 20,000 lbs, disposable load 35,000 lbs, gross 145,000 lbs. Length 138 feet. Height 31 feet 6 inches. Wing span 262 feet. Wing area 10,370 sq. feet. 160 passengers with luggage, crew of 17. Max. speed 145 m.p.h. Minimum 60 m.p.h. Both at sea level.
