An evening with TFC

Hello All

I was fortunate to get the last two tickets to this years event. Raymond Baxter was the guest speaker; part of his anecdotes described being shot down by the Americans in Italy! It was the only time he was shot down!

Half way through just as the Sun closed for VFR flying the four Spit flight returned from the Southampton Spit celebrations. Alex Henshaw looked like a ‘kid in a sweet shop’ in the back of the IAC MK.IX!

I have added in the Sunderland as our crew at Duxford have just finished repainting the fuselage and added the 201 Squadron codes. We believe this is the first time ML796 has worn the codes since the 1950’s.

Best regards 😉

Cracking pics.

the four ship coming in at sunset really made the evening. we had been waiting all day in a hope they would come back! Do you know who was flying the T9? would have thought it would have been Mr Romain but it didn’t look like him when he came past.

Congratulations to the TFC for a great evening. What great surroundings to eat a meal and listen to one of the true greats of the aviation community. To get a close up look of the aircraft was a rare treat as well. Especially the new CR42!

Good job again TFC!
