While being bus transferred from Modlin rail station to the airport,on Friday, I got a quick sighting of 3 AN2 fuselages stored in a yard between the station and access road ,the yard also contains a small number of shipping containers which might contain the wings. Someone with more time might be able to have a closer look for ident. Modlin is the hub for Ryanair flights serving Warsaw. From the air I could see the remains of wartime barracks in woods.
We had been staying in Lodz, the airport is now in limbo there and the extensive air museum has closed and only 4 airframes remain according to a local friend,so ignore the pic on google earth. A Mig 21 is still displayed on a pole outside a sports centre in the SW of the city.
