nice shot of it, I would have liked to have seen it again especially at EMA because of its new colours now aswell. I think it was departing back to Kiev last time it visited as ADB2263.

Many thanks! 🙂
I know what you mean. It was supposed to depart saturday morning, then monday morning and finally left today.. haha.

Nice photo I like those new colours!
With the Antonov you never know when it arrives or when it will depart. I remember a day @ Amsterdam this year when it came 30mins early and departed 2 days to late:rolleyes:

Thanks guys. I’m really glad that you like the shot. The weather was really against us. Poor visibility, low cloud. We watched the French air force A340 come in and that appeared out of cloud somewhere between 200 and 300ft.
The An225 left earlier today to go back to Kiev.
Anyway im off to visit my dad in London for a week now. He has no internet so I wont be online until im back home next week.
Have a good week guys. 😎

i saw it today, didn’t get any good photos though, although i did get ‘caught’ taking photos of it. I was cautioned by the police under the Stop and Search section of the Terrorism Act. yay!
Way to go Adam! 😀

A225HVY,
Some serious amount of cargo there. Pity I flew back up to ABZ today, so won’t get to see it departing.

Darren,
Cargo door was open to facilitate the offload of 120tonnes of textiles after a warehouse fire at Primark and was open today for the onload of 77000 shoe boxes filled with charity donations for Ukrainian Orphanges…was up thee today showing people around.

The past few days I’ve been working out of the EMA area and noticed that the cargo door has been open, everytime I’ve been passed the airport. Does anyone know why?
One heck of a beast – pity I didn’t take my camera with me this week.
Nice picture Andy.

Apparently she is due to take off at 8am tomorrow.
Also apparently Mr Delta is making noises about setting off very early to go and take photos!

excellent pics, especially sky’s. the 124 is more aesthetically pleasing, but the 225 just has such a big ‘wow’ factor!

Wow excellent pics, the sooner it comes back to PIK the better! 😉
