Doncasters RWY 02/20 is the longest in UK. 🙁
You mean if you exclude two runway at Heathrow, one at Gatwick, one at Stansted, one at East Midlands and two at Manchester?
DSA has a runway length of 2893m, and that is the longest TORA too (in the 02 direction, shorter in the 20 direction).
LHR meanwhile has runway lengths of 3901m and 3660m
Gatwick has 3316m
Stansted has 3048m
Manchester has 1x 3048m and 1x 3047 (with a starter extension on two of the runways)
East Midlands has the same as DSA with 2893m, but this is available in both directions, and the TODA is longer.

For what it’s worth, yesterday afternoon it was due in Brazil. To fly in one day from Brazil to Doncaster seems a bit fast. Loading the ‘225 usually takes a long time due to the oversize nature of the typical cargo. Add to that one or two refueling stops, it’s range ain’t great, and it seems to me that the ETA slot is a bit early.
Having said that. It’s been 1700 GMT, no? So, is it there or not?
He was in Brazil but did a tech stop in Sal on the way up with crewrest. It’s possible to do Brazil-UK in one day his range is greater than you think have a look at some of his world records;)
Cargo load is no problems due to the professionalism of the crews and the handling agents!

It landed on time :- 17:00 GMT
Not sure if the departure is delayed.
Is that a wind-up?
Can Donny handle it?
DSA can easily handle it. Concorde was a annual visitor during the Finningley Air Show years and Doncasters RWY 02/20 is the longest in UK. So if MAN & EMA have no problems then DSA certainly wont. Also DSA is not as built up as MAN so ground movement should be much easier too. If I’d have know it was going to be there then i would’ve gone over to see it. 🙁
