As well as a post-restoration first flight for Proctor ‘KIU today (see seperate thread) Classic Flight just two hours later (@ 17.19) achieved a much-delayed post-restoration first flight of D.H. Rapide, G-AIDL

Great news to hear that these two are flying, of course one could be mischievous and mention the perfect timing for them to migrate south to St Mawgan.

I was mistaken 😮 – it wasn’t ‘IDL’s first post-restoration flight, she flew briefly a couple of weeks ago but the engine(s) still wasn’t right.
All’s well now though she did two passenger flights today – the penultimate day of Airbase at Coventry
