And what about this one ?

A few days ago, some of you had a pretty animate debate about soviet jets esthetics.

What about this one? Do you know if IL62 id the only jetliner who ever had 4 tail engines?

The only thing I know after one of them flew over my head at ORY ,
it’s bloody noisy !!!!!

Never actually seen an IL-62, but I once saw a Tu-154 of Balkan at LHR – only the 3 engines, but incredibly noisy. Much more so than “noisy” jets like the 737-200 or 727.

Very unsightly yellow exhaust plumes on take off also. Is this generally a symptom of crap engines or is it just a sign of age?

The Il 62 has to be one of the most beautiful a/c ever built.
