Angels One Five Hurricanes

Can anyone point me in the direction of good sources of information re the Hurricanes that took part in Angles One Five ?

I’m specifically interested in finding a list of the “fake” serials & codes worn for filming. It seems a terribly undocumented film compared to the info that’s available for the Battle of Britain.

Any pointers are appreciated.

Coincidentally many of the models in the film were made by Shawcraft (Models) Ltd who were based at Richings Park adjacent to Langley Aerodrome where of course the Portuguese & Hawker owned Hurricanes were prepared for filming. There models were also used in Reach For The Sky.

The article inside says the film was to be premièred in November 1951.

i love the film and watched it yesterday. Such a shame that only six years after the end of WW11, The airman including ‘Septic’ are wearing the wrong flying kit.
’41 Pattern Mae Wests and boots etc. Septic is even wearing a U.S. B3 sheepskin instead of a Irvin.

Loved the Ju-88 special effects, looking more like Savoia Marchetti’s.

Nice to see the two Spitfires survivors K9942 and P9444 in several shots at full HD.

They rarely get an acknowledgement.

Watched it on saturdaymorning for the first time ever. Although there was a lot of talking the Hurricane footage was very nice, as well as the Messerschmitt 110 wreck. Pity that one didn’t survive. As a 1/32 scale aircraft modeller I was inpired by the Hurricane footage and after the movie had ended, I went out and got me the Fly Hurricane I kit. So I have been working on that since.
