I well remember waiting a whole week for the film to arrive at the local cinema.
The foyer had a display of model planes that took part in the Battle of Britain and at some point during each day, I could be found there, ogling them.
The price is a bit high at $27.99, in my opinion, but a DVD is available here for anyone interested:

It may not come up to modern standards with regard to photography, but it was realistic, unusual for war films in those days.
NB: One of the actors, Humphrey Lestocq, was an ex fighter pilot, who later worked on children’s TV in the 50s, but he was found to be a bit odd:confused: and sacked.
