Animal D.N.A.

Has anybody ever studied the DNA of animals? It would seem logical that all animals would have a unique DNA, just a wayward thought or is this how human DNA was discovered?

DNA is essential the same in every living organism. It is the sequence of base pairs that for genes that code for a specific amino acid that forms a protein that makes us all unique. For Example Humans have the gene to grow tails and wings, but doing growth as a fetus these genes are not “switched on” and so they do not grow.
