Sadly, G-ANLR was written off 1966 and ‘G-ANMZ in 1969.
The JP, XP632 was probably from CAW Manby; it certainly belonged to them in 1966 (The Macaws).

Yes the airfield shots are great, it’s surprising just how well filmed Poddington was from it being built, through USAAF use, and to its demise and onward drag racing use.

Pagen,

The Tiger Moth and gliders are at Podington with interspersed shots of the RAF At Home Cottesmore 1964 I think ?
At the beginning some nice aerial shots of the Podington dispersals before Santa Pod. Thanks to Topcameraman for processing these but I believe they were taken by Tony Barrow gliding instructor ATC/Four Counties RAFGSA.

includes some RAF Cottesmore At Home.

I take it the Victor and Scimitar are at Cottesmore, or did they really take off from Poddington?

Just received the following comment from display veteran Barry Tempest, to whom I sent the link:

Yes, I was there and had flown over from Snoring in the Whitney Straight. I flew the Rapide G-AKNN in the show along with the SOW (Stand on Wing) Tiger. Happy memories prompted by this rare bit of film.

Cheers,

Barry

Wonderful – camo Victors, Scimitar, Jet Provost – I’m guessing 1963/64?
