Another 767 drama

A Boeing 767 operated by Italian company Blue Panorama had to make an emergency landing in Rome-Fiumicino.
The crew decided to fly back to Rome after one of the two engines had taken fire.
There were 273 passengers and 8 crew members aboard. Noboy got hurt during the emergency procedure yet some passengers were so shocked that they had to be taken to hospital.”

[QUOTE=SHAMROCK321]And they say Ryanair are unsafe the 767 appears to be a death trap in recent months.

Did I miss something while I was away? Who died? As Wys states there has, it would appear, been a succession of technical difficulties but all aircraft have landed safely so “deathtrap” would seem a little bit steep. I have flown fairly regularly on both CO’s 200 and 400 series and will be happy to do so again in November.

And Ryanair don’t have any 767s, either!

Very true and its quite unfortunate.Every airline from the US that flies to ireland does so with 767s with the exception of DL and Co in the winter.Lets not turn this into a FR bashing we probably wont hear of another 767 incident for a long while.

Sometimes circumstances just happen to contrive against you. The 767 has proven to be a great workhorse for so many airlines for so long. I would guess that any concentration of incidents at the moment is purely circumstantial.

I’d still rather go on a 767 than anything of Ryanair’s! 😀

And they say Ryanair are unsafe the 767 appears to be a death trap in recent months.Remember last year a USAirways 767 from PHL to SNN came very very close to ditching in the Atlantic sea.
Also a USAirways flight from DUB to PHL was delayed 24 hours last week due to a major engine fault.
