Here you go everyone, as promised is another installment of photos from AMS. I’m still not at the end of the editing yet, so there could well be more to come! Here’s 10 for the timebeing, most of the full size versions can be seen on jetphotos.net.
The first shot is of our 767-300 cockpit after landing in AMS from LHR.

This one is taken from our A330-200, inbound to LHR. This shows the fog just starting to sweep its way accross London ; for the next 3 days many flights were delayed and cancelled, including BA with all their domestic services.

And here’s the rest, all from AMS…

And finally, a KLM 777 climbing off into the setting Sun on our final afternoon..

Thanks again everyone for the comments, it’s always worth the time and effort when I get such a friendly repsonse! There could well be a final thread of AMS shots in the future…
There had better be. I am anxious to see your take on the Antonov. Or did you already post it? Might have missed it as I only got limited access, only at work when I can waste a few minutes. The home connection is down.

Cheers once again guys! It’s funny, for some very odd reason last night I decided to upload to planepictures.net for the first time in 2 years, and then managed to get top of the day! I might try them a little more often…

Brilliant photos, My favourites are the Jet2, the US Airways 767 and like everyone else the KLM A330 wingview over London.
And when I refer to “everyone else” I’m not just talking about people on these forums, as its made the Top 4 of today on planepictures.net.

Fantastic shots!
I’m not sure what the score with Jet2 was whilst the UK was covered in fog. On 24 December, Jet2 flights from Amsterdam to Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle were cancelled. When I went back to Amsterdam on 31 December, the same Jet2 flights were cancelled. But by this time, every other airline seemed to be back on track. What was going on?

Some excellent shots there Dan 🙂 Look forward to more!

I don’t know how you do it! 😮 The wing view is awesome, what an excellent view of London.

What to say… brilliant!

Stunning as usual, Dan. It’s a shame you don’t have a flash gun for the cockpit shots so you could bounce it off the roof and avoud the reflections. Still a superb shot though!

Thanks everyone, your very kind comments are always much appreciated!
Haha no Peter, I’m not a pilot. I just asked to meet the pilots at the end of the flight, and very friendly they were.
Adam, I just use the standard flash that is built into the camera. If there’s a fair amount of Sun shining into the cockpit, I try to do it without a flash at a very low shutter speed so that all of the screens are lit up better. However, when it’s quite a dark day outside there isn’t much choice other than to use the flash. It usually turns out quite well.

absolutely fantastic shots as always.
I was wondering how you take your cockpit shots – do you use flash – if so, what ‘type’ of flash?

Recently had the chance to travel through AMS and I found the photo ops to be too many to choose from. Everywhere I looked, there was an aircraft I wanted to snap. Due to the fact I didn’t have the camera for this type of shot taking, I didn’t proceed. Do I ever regret it today!!:(
On the same token, brillian collection of shots. I love the US Airways B762! Great shot! 🙂
