Ball.Eric Darrell.
On November 2nd,peacefully,in hospital,ex RAF Bomber Command Air Crew August 1939,Deputy Head Highfield Primary School.Long time secretary Leeds and district bowling association,President West Yorkshire County bowling assocoation,and currently joint President of Leeds and district bowling association,aged 85 years.
It goes onto say that Eric’s service and cremation is on November 17th in Leeds.
Sad news indeed. 🙁

I’m sure there is a story to be told,but as I only got the information from the regional paper,I don’t know what the gentlemans background is.
Would be interesting though.

Any more wartime biography? August 1939 with Bomber Command yet to live through to the 21st Century hints at an interesting story. An early POW perhaps?
