Could anybody perhaps ID the transport fuselage section sitting between the Mig 15/17 Type UTI and the Mig 9?
I don’t think its a lump from a Peking No1 .

The removed Hickory shows the Mig 9 more clearly ( The Il 10 is on the other side)
Do look at the window spacing on the “Peking No 1” type fuselage and compare to the complete example.

Not a Mig 9 but I think an IL10. The mystery fuselage has a slope to the lower edge of the cockpit glazing and the cabin windows both appear similar to that of Peking No 1.

I don’t think it is the Hickory after all. In the picture on Mik’s site, the Hickory is to the right – the airframe in question is to the left. It might be one of the unfinished fuselages of the Beijing NR1 feeder-liner, the prototype of which only flew once.
But then again i could be wrong – again
Nope think i got it wrong. I’ve cropped 25deg’s photo to similar proportions to the Hickory photo to make it more obvious that the Hickory fuselage is in fact missing from that spot 😮 Whoops !!

This is the Beijing (Peking) No1 -about 50 metres away. As you can see it doesn’t appear to have quite the same fuselage design, although it seems pretty similar overall.

Indeed, looks like the same aircraft/fuselage shown on Axisaircraft.com

Japanese I think
Tachikawa Ki-54 (Allied reporting code name – Hickory) perhaps?
