Apart from it being a bit cold, an interesting and enjoyable day out. A pair of Apache helicopters made a slow transit across the airfield as I arrived and the Bearcat/Wildcat were out on the airfield on engine runs. SM969 is coming along nicely in the spray bay, and an excellent job it is too, and the Beaufighter has had a nose transplant.

In the AAM I had a look at some of the undercarriages, this one B52, had an u/c bay as big as some other types bomb bays
This shredded tyre on the SR71A reminded me of the frequent wheel changes on the Lightnings
