That Merlin needs saving.
It needs dumping in a vat of diesel oil for 6 months and then set about for a restoration.
It will be left to rot, and within two years that aerodrome will be a Barratts/similar housing estate.

No sign of any repair work whatsoever as yet.
Not even covered the roof over, there’s nothing left anyway…….but I’m sure this could have been saved in some way…..

Very sad. It was one of the nicest destinations in the South of England.
