What have Hendon got against unique German aircraft?

Thing is, they will never get round to building that new building anyway so we will hopefully see the LVG fly for some time.

Unfortunately, the LVG does look to be heading for static display at Hendon. It is only on loan from them, and has been issued recently with an “M” number. I assume it will be included in the new WW1 collection when the C.G.W. Hangar is moved.

Do you have a flying shot of the Bristol M.1C?

Whew!Nice one philo!I think the Arrow Active has to be one of best looking biplanes ever built, second perhaps to such things as the Gladiator or Hawker Fury.I for one hope that both the Active and the LVG will be staying at Old Warden.

Keithmac – I very rarely use anything bigger than 300mm at Old Warden, so is suspect that was what i took this with.

Ant – I’ve not heard that rumour, lets hope its no more than that, but have a friend who is quite close to the Shuttleworth organisation so i’ll ask.It was not mentioned in the last copy of ‘Propswing’, mind you nor was the potential sale of the Arrow Active.Talking of which……………

I’ve heard that the RAF Museum, the owners of the LVG,have expressed a wish to ground her in the not too distant future and put her on static display at Hendon.Does anyone know if or when this will happen?
