Another LBA thread from the 17th of August…

As I have said before she (G-LSAD) is due to return to Southend in 4 weeks time for a paint job. As it was a rush job to get her in service at Manchester on time for the busy August holiday period.

By the way LBA has been comfirmed to be having 3 off the 5 X’S Jet2.com B757’s this winter 06/07. 2 of the aircraft are permantley needed at LBA this winter while the 3rd will be out stationed at tenerife with are crews and staff. So All Blackpool, Belfast & Newcastle flights to TFS will be operated by one of the current LBA based B757’s along with LBA Flight & Cabin crew.

The other 2 B757’s will be based Manchester.

I have reason to believe that G-LSAD will shortly be returning to Lasham or Southend for the paint job finishing. Apparently the a/c was accquired earlier than scheduled due to unforeseen circumstances regarding the operational constraints of Jet2’s fleet

Not that it really matters, we have had Jet2 Manchester (G-CELI) based at LBA for short periods of time on several occasions..

haha could be worse you could have jet2manchester based at leeds!!

Has jet2s white 757 been at LBA yet??

I hear she didn’t get the full silver colouring as jet 2 wanted her in service as soon as possible.

She’s just plain white with red JET2 titles. As far as I’m aware ‘AD’ hasn’t been to LBA yet, and to be honest I wouldn’t have thought she’s too likely to come over this way. I haven’t seen ‘LB’ at LBA since MAN stole her!

Lukeylad… You can get pretty close at LBA but you’d probably want something with a little more zoom than a camera phone to get anything of any use!

Jon… Luckily funerals only happen further up the field, so you don’t really feel like you’re getting in the way too much!

I was planning to nip up to LBA this weekend on a LET-chasing mission, but I’ve been struck down by the Dreaded Lurgi and I’ll be lucky to get as far as MAN.
