Not sure why I went down to London on Friday as the weather forecast proved reasonably accurate being dark, cloudy, windy, rainy, but it kept the tourist numbers down a bit. I was traveling light using my Sony a6000 CSC with a Tamron 18-200mm zoom lens. Considering how dark it was, with hindsight I should have taken my A7rII.
A canal barge on the Thames. Lost??

South Bank opposite the Tate Gallery. The kid in the green coat kept bursting the bubbles.
Another new observation point over London. It would seem that planning permission for new sky scrapers must include public space at the top.
Apt graffiti in the City of London.
Didn’t realise it was ‘Smiley Face Day’ on Friday. Flag on Somerset House during one of the passing rain fronts
South Bank near the Eye. I think it’s a cat, kept going meow when any one walked past.
Whitehall.

Going no where fast in Trafalgar Square.
With the Chinese New Year on Mon Feb 8 2016 the main London parade is taking place on Sun Feb 14 2016 around Charring Cross and Trafalgar Square so China Town, just behind Leicester Square, was being decked out in Chinese lanterns. Pity they are not illuminated.

I’ll be back down next week to see what they look like in the dark.

Depending on the direction it was taking The Narrowboat is hardly lost, it could be transiting the Thames from Kent, or The Lea and Stort to pick up the routes to the midlands or vice-versa.
