dark light

Another one leaves Norwich.

Just arrived at the end of the runway this evening in time to see another freshly painted aircraft leave for pastures new !
For once would like to hear your views on the photo ? it’s very amature, point and shoot, auto, tweaked with a little sharpening and slightly lower brightness …. thats all …. honest !

Keith.

steve rowell.Norwich is one of the locations of a aircraft spraying company “Air Livery” who seem to be very busy at the moment, and provide us with some interesting movements.

STN.Thanks for those words of advice, I don’t have photoshop etc just the simple editing programme which came with the camera, Nikon picture project which is limited ! most of the function are merely min, med, max !

Thank you.

Keith.

Great shot Keith and a nice edit too. I presumed this is an ex. Air One machine in for repainting, though note it’s actually a brand new frame. I wonder why they painted it at NWI as opposed to TLS or XFW?

A few suggestions for improvement…

– Would definitley benefit from a even crop around the aircraft; try to get the horizontal stablizers in as well.
– Sharpening is maybe a little strong, though its a fine attempt.
– The backlighting causes a few problems with the balance of lighting, though in this instance it gives an nice effect on the sparkling new paint and conjours various ground reflections. Try to shoot with the sun behind you when possible, though photos like this can be improved in processing by adjusting the shadows and mid-tones and/or using the fill light function if your editor has one.

Great work!

CloudWarrier. I rather hope it is the paint you can smell ? we did have a small wind problem earlier ! On the runway of course !

Skyranger912. Thanks for the heads up ! See what time I have ? I heard that the Viking 737 couldn’t get off last week because of a wet runway and popped to STN to collect its passengers who travelled by coach ????

I can almost smell the paint. 😎 I suppose the purists would say its not centred or cropped, but it works for me.
