They only found out the 109 is a piece of history after an aircraft enthusiast told the authoritis…..otherwise the a/c would have been left rotting there.
Now if Indian authoritis are also involved…it will be one darn long process.

Indian 109
I don’t know who’s bringing it in, but apparently the Indian authorities are still involved, therefore no firm information is available at present. Probably best if we all wait and see on this one.

Sorry Ant no, I am in contact with someone associated with Guy and receive a news update every so often. it was mentioned that it had cost a lot in legal fees for nothing

Do you happen to know who it has gone to Ian?Guy Black’s name cropped up in a news item about the recovery in Aeroplane,so presumed it was to do with him.

Hi Ian,
As I understand it,the 109 is owned by Guy Black and was actually exported (presumably to the UK) even before news of it’s discovery was announced. The controversy is over the price paid for it,the Indian authorities basically kicking themselves for not appreciating it’s true value.
Feel free to correct me,but that’s the situation as I understand it.
I believe the 109 never reached Guy.

What’s become of the Indian 109 that there was a lot of controversy over recently?

Nice pic. Is that the museum at Palam? If so, there should be an IAF B(I)58 there, be good to have a recent photo if at all possible.
Cheers

there is nothin valuable or operation in the museum that one can aim or spy on. Thats the reason.

Nice pic! 🙂 I have one question, how is it, assuming this pic was taken in India, that you can take photos of aircraft in a museum, but not at an airport? Being the IAF museum, its all military stuff, but you can photograph it? Seems strange?
