This prop lies just the other side of the fence from the Flying Club/Flying Academy at Cardiff airport.
Has anybody got an idea what it may be from?
Its quite large, but as it was on the wrong side of the fence, I couldn’t get any rough dimensions.
Thanks all.

Thanks Papa Lima – must go and dig out my pics of the East Midlands Varsity, but it looks to be the favourite at the moment.
Thanks guys

Not Spitfire.
The blades have axial rotation interconnection to the fully feathered position.

Hmmm maybe not, back to square one then! I love the way the engine cover folds away, any other aircraft like that?

Varsity at Newark
Would it have been about this big, then?

I am told that Varsity’s did operate from Cardiff when it was an RAF station, so that may be correct Rlangham, but wondered if anyone could confirm that is what it came from.

Judging by the look of it and the scale of the grass and pics, i’d say about the same, although could be something slightly bigger, i.e. Varsity
