A French national woman has been removed from a Delta 767 at Paris bound for Cincinnati, when it was observed the jacket she was wearing had wires protruding from it.
It later transpired she was wearing an “unusual” jacket with wires and a battery to heat the jacket. The young lady was cleared to continue her journey on a later flight, the inbound Delta 767 was the subject of an “abundance of security” and an alleged fighter escort over the Atlantic/New York state coast area.

Sounds like she was wearing a heated biker jacket, useful on a bike at speed but not much cop in a plane at speed.

Yes, but at least she’ll be nice and warm. 😀The crass stupidity of these people in the current security climate really does beggar belief. It makes you wonder whether they have any common sense at all. Anyone delaying a flight through security reasons should lose their right to travel and be forced to compensate the airline and passengers. If it’s a genuine oversight OK. But if it’s because of something incredibly stupid like this incident they should be made to pay.
(And yes, I did get out of bed the right side.)

Wow, and theres me expecting to get slated for my comment!
I agree with you 100% In a situation like this, there realy is no excuse!
If it was medical, then a doctors certificate would have been sensible.

Good that such a thing was noticed, but not for the lady concerned, she is no doubt behind schedule now. 🙂

A bit of common sense would tell ya not to wear such a jacket for a flight. Surely she was aware of the current security fears.
Still, no harm done. Better safe than sorry.
