Hi Learned Friends. . . .
Just another quick Spitfire Ace question. I’ve been re-watching this superb series and have yet another query relating to the music used during the programmes.
Does anybody know what the title of the piece of classical music used during the end of programme number three?? I’d would be really grateful if someone could let me know. . . . these things drive me nuts sometimes.
Many thanks in advance.
Steve

Spitfire Ace Music
Hi mmitch;
Thanks for the reply to my question… I read that earlier thread before posting, but this is a different piece of music. The puccini score was used at the end of program four when Pete Brothers was flying Carolyn’s Spitfire. The piece that I am trying to identify was used at the end of program three as Stephen Bungay was talking about Hugh Dowding.
Many thanks;
Steve.

Spitfire Ace – THAT music….
Just thought some of you may wish to hear that marvellous piece of music played out as Peter Brothers flew ML407.
I also defy anyone not to get emotional just hearing the music.
The piece is entitled: “The Humming Chorus” from Puccini’s opera Madame Butterfly.
Track 15 on the following link will give you a snippet of the 3.05min piece.
