Out of curiosity, what does the RAOs mini backseaters weapons joy stick look like in a Tornado?

Going by the WD number I reackon its a Seaking Co-Pilot Collective grip. Deffo not Pilots due to no Hyd controls.
Most modern helicopters have Speed select levers (SSL) or Engine condition levers controlling the engines, instead of twist grips.

I would say it is almost certainly off a Cyclic and not a Collective. probably P2 bearing in mind the few controls on it.
John not all helicopter have a twist throttle.
I get the idmpression that the round metal plate covers the location for a ‘coolie’ hat type switch.

Would it be collective?, I was under the impression that the collective grip was also a ‘twist’ grip to control engine rpm.
It certainly has American heritage though.
John.

As it’s a collective stick top I’d guess because the collctive is operated with the left hand.

Why the handing?

exactly right Ian….collective…..similar to sea king

Something for the left handed pilot? Could be a helicopter collective grip.
