Having passed on the title and onerous duties of Rain God to Mr Nichols, I have enjoyed some rather splendid weather on my last two visits to Heathrow. 🙂
This was early yesterday:

…. but then operations switched to 09s. 🙁

These images were all captured with the Canon 30D and the Canon 28-135 f/3.5 -5.6 IS USM. The latter is a lens I have never been 100% happy with, and am now coming to dislike intensly. 😡
Enjoy….. 😀

…… Never used that lens but the first 3 certainly look a bit soft and lack some “pop” compared to other images I’ve seen from you.
Exactly my complaint with the lens, Ian. Yet in post-processing I applied more USM than usual to these images and gave them a final dose of USM at 14/60/0 specifically to enhance the “pop”.
Where were you for the landings..Hatton Cross?
Yes, the Tube station car park, in fact. 🙂
Thanks for the comments, chaps. 🙂

Glad to see you got the sun this time Lance. Never used that lens but the first 3 certainly look a bit soft and lack some “pop” compared to other images I’ve seen from you.

AHEM… Having attempted to pass on the title of Rain God…
Ebay the 28-135 and stick to them other nice white and black thingies that cover the hole in the front of your camera. 🙂
Nice images though, regardless of lens problems.
