It was rather windy today, chaps! 😮
Let’s start with a few MyTravel A320s in unusual liveries:

Here are a couple of shots of SAS B737 LN-RCW:

And finally, a Syrian B747SP:

Enjoy….. 😀

G-GTDK is in for a repaint i would imagine as before it was only in a hybrid scheme.
Obviously G-SSAS one of the oldest A320’s is leaving the fleet for Donbassaero.
G-FTDF is likely to stay in the scheme in the picture as its only leased till november 06 to cover the summer schedule – not really worth spending the money to repaint it.

Will G-GTDK be leaving the fleet or are they preparing to get it painted into full colours? I hope they also paint G-FTDF!

Superb again Lance. I love the angle on the second Scandinavian 737 shot!

Excellent shots as ever Lance, G-GTDK looking good! :D.
Me and Paul saw the Syrian 747SP taxiing as we walking back to the train station on Wednesday, great looking machine!

what was the syrian doing there?
I understand that it operates the RB414 service from Damascus on Wednesdays and the RB414 back to Damascus on Thursdays. It night-stops in LHR.
All other Syrianair services from Manchester are operated by A320.

Thanks for the kind comments, gents. 🙂
….what is that truck at the bottom of the first SAS pic?
It’s a flatbed trailer loaded with what looked like large pieces of insulation board. Other than that, I don’t know.
What are they doing by that little patch of grass in the Syrian shot?
It’s work being done to refurbish the taxiway around the end of “C” pier. You can see it more clearly on the first of the SAS B737 shots.
what was the syrian doing there?
Operating flight RB414, one of Syrian’s weekly scheduled services (Tue/Wed and Thu).

G-GTDK is a good example of how not to strip paint off an aircraft.

Great shots there – some unusual A320s – to plug a hole in my curiousity (if that even makes sense) what is that truck at the bottom of the first SAS pic?

Loved the shot of the B747SP. I flew to Damascus on YK-AHA from LHR for a short holiday last year.
Everyone should note that they won’t be around much longer and a holiday in Syria is relatively cheap at the moment. You should take the opportunity before it is too late!

Another great set of shots

G-GTDK is looking awful 😮
The worst looking MYT hybrid yet me thinks! 😀
Great selection Lance, especially the SP 😎 .

Brilliant photos!! Still need to catch my first SP! Will they still be around this summer?
