I am extremely sad to have to tell you that another Second World War fighter pilot died on Saturday. My great friend Bill Musgrave flew Spitfires with 237 (Rhodesia) Squadron in Italy and southern France in 1944/45.
Hugely enthusiastic about all things aviation, Bill was always generous with his time and eager to share his experiences with our generation. His death came most unexpectedly and just a few days after our last chat.
I will miss him.

I regret I must report another loss. Les Weeks was a member of the crew of Hendon’s Lancaster “S for Sugar”. I recently had a great evening with him recording his experiences – he went on to join a Pathfinder Squadron, and like all these chaps, was very modest about his contribution to the war effort.
Sadly, Les died quite suddenly, a couple of weeks ago.
